A baby has a special way of adding joy in every single day – Author Unknown There is something so special about a newborn baby, they have the ability to touch your heart, to melt the toughest of people and they do all this without having to move a muscle. It never ceases to amaze me how tiny a new baby is, how stunning their tiny features are and how quickly they adapt to this new world they are living in.
Lucas was two weeks old the day I meet him and boy did he make me work! He wasn’t a fan of being naked, fought going to sleep, would wake up at the slightest movement and is the first baby to have peed on me, but regardless of all this we still got some awesome shots (and he slept well for his Mum and Dad after I had left). Lucas is so tiny and very alert for such a tiny little guy, he liked to know what was going on around him and checking to make sure that people where still with him. Like all babies Lucas liked to be held, and he is such a snuggler!
Congratulations again Tracy and Brad, you have a gorgeous little boy who will undoubtedly add joy to your lives.
Much Love Mel

Casey and Owen | Central Coast Photographer
February 18, 2010The day before valentines day, in front of family and friends, Casey and Owen declared their love for one another. Casey and Owen were both very relaxed and laid back, enjoying their day, suit jackets and ties were left at home, Casey kicked off her heels once the ceremony was over. Their wedding was their own, unique to them, which makes their day even more special. We had our fingers crossed for good weather, the weather forecast had predicated rain, then just thunder storms and the back to rain, so things were not looking good. The day started off with rain but thankfully it cleared up and stay away right until we were just finishing up and heading to the reception.
Thank you Owen and Casey for sharing your day with me, it was an honor to capture it.
Mel
Karissa: your shots are nice & crisp you using a 50mm?congrats
Vicki James: Great photos Melanie! The bride and groom look so happy!
Mel: Thank you!! Karissa, I mainly used the 50mm on the individual and bride and groom shots. For group shots and ceremony, I mainly used the 24-70mm
Casey: Thanks Melanie! Can't wait to see the rest.
Denise Markham: OMG Melanie, what a beautiful photography job you did. Casey & Owen, you guys must be very pleased with this 'sneak preview' of photos you will be receiving soon. Once again, congratulations to Casey & Owen, it is obvious you guys are meant to be coz you look sooooo happy (and fun).

Giving is Awesome | Central Coast Photographer
December 2, 2009
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $1200 worth, to be exact. It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season!
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $200 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
* The nominee must reside in the Central Coast or Hunter areas. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
* You must e-mail me the full story : info@melaniejoanne.com.au by the 20th December 2009.
The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!
Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
Much love,
Melanie
November Special Reminder | Central Coast Photographer
November 26, 2009
Just a reminder that the November Special will be wrapping up in a few days.
I have had a few questions regarding the terms and conditions so thought I would just clarify; the sessions (newborn and maternity) do not need to take place in November, if you are expecting but not looking to have maternity photos for a few months you can still take advantage of this offer. To secure this special the deposit for your newborn session needs to be made by the end of November, sessions can be held at anytime, just let me know your expected due date so that I can pencil you in.
Any questions or to take advantage of this offer, please contact me

Amanda: I love, love, love these photos. Awesome work! What a sweet heart Lucas is. Congrats Tracy and Brad!
Rachel: Beautiful. He looks like a sweet little doll.
