Day on the Water

January 26, 2009

Friday saw my work mates and I off on a cruise around Sydney Harbour. We were lucky enough to win an inter-office competition which meant that we not only got day off work (paid day off) but work also picked up the tab, nice way to spend the day!! I took the opportunity to work on my landscape photography, it definitely isn’t my strong point but it is fun all the same.

Being on the harour meant I could get some photos of the iconic Sydney Opera house and Harbour bridge, and as today is Australia day it seemed like a perfect time to share these images. I have only edited a few, and if the other make the cut I will be sure to share them here.

Rachel: Very nice. Also like the new blog. Very you :)

Mel: Thanks. I think the background needs work, but that will be a project for another day!

Baby Preston

January 16, 2009
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing gorgeous little Preston. Preston surprised his parents by arriving five weeks early and he actually was born on his mothers birthday. Preston’s older sister was so cute, she kept tell me that he was a present!!

Preston was so easy to photograph, he slept for pretty much the whole session and was willing to do almost any pose.

Preston has the cutest little birthmark on his second toe, had to make sure we captured that!

Rachel: These are cute. He is such a sweet little baby. Love the cocoon ones :P

Blog Issues

I am having some issues with blogger, it will not let me upload any photos. I have a super cute newborn post coming, once I can get this problem fixed.

Gorgeous Kids

January 5, 2009
I had the pleasure of photographing this family on the same as the family in the previous post (and at the same location). These guys were so awesome, they are such sweet kids, again so cooperative and LOTS of fun. We had to cut this session short due to rain, but we made good use of the time we did have.

Mum was looking for very natural photos, I hope that I have achieved this

Stunning Family

January 4, 2009
This stunning family was a breeze to shoot, everyone stood where I asked them too, no one complained  and well lets face it when the whole family is this stunning it makes my job so easy. We had stunning weather, the sun was out but wasn’t too hot and once we were on the beach we were sheltered from the wind.

Anonymous: Dear Melanie
Thankyou for making our day so stress free. We all felt so relaxed. You done a fabulous job with the photos, I am so happy with them.
Couldn't have found a nicer photograher to work with.

Thanks so much for taking the time you spent with us.
Thankyou
Sandra James

Mel: Tanks Sandra, So glad you like them!
